ZBMINI Smart Switch - Zigbee 3.0

The SONOFF ZBMINI is a smart switch that allows you to make your existing switch smart. This allows you to remotely control your lamp, or any other device with a maximum power consumption of 10 amperes and a maximum output of 2200 watts, with your phone.

Smart Switch

You simply install this smart switch behind the existing switch. This can be a rocker switch or two-way switch, pulse switches are unfortunately not supported. You can continue to use this existing switch to control your light. Thanks to the small housing, which is also fireproof and flame-retardant, it fits in almost all mounting boxes. However, in addition to the phase wire, you also need a neutral wire, which is not always present behind normal switches. You cannot install this switch in a metal mounting box as it blocks the Zigbee signal.

Zigbee Switch

This smart switch uses Zigbee 3.0. Zigbee is a wireless protocol specially made for home automation which means it works reliably and uses less energy than wifi, for example. This Zigbee switch also works as a Zigbee router which means it amplifies the Zigbee signal and extends the range of your Zigbee network. To connect this Zigbee switch to your wifi network, you will need a Zigbee coordinator, such as the SONOFF ZB Bridge-P.

EWeLink

This SONOFF switch can be controlled from anywhere, even when you are not at home, using the eWeLink app on your Android or iOS smartphone. Through this eWeLink app, you can also configure the smart switch to suit your needs. For example, you can set up smart scenes. This allows you, for example, to automatically switch on your lights at certain times. Also, in combination with a SONOFF sensor, it is possible to turn on your lights when motion is detected, for example.

Compatibility

If you use this smart switch with the SONOFF ZB Bridge, you can pair it with various services thanks to eWeLink. Via eWeLink, you can pair the SONOFF ZBMINI with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings, among others. This also allows you to control your switch via voice assistants like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Samsung Bixby.

In addition, it is possible to pair this Zigbee switch with other Zigbee coordinators. The SONOFF ZBMINI is compatible with Amazon Echo, the Philips Hue Bridge and Samsung SmartThings, among others.

It is also possible to pair the SONOFF ZBMINI with Home Assistant. This can be done in several ways. If you use the SONOFF ZB Bridge-P, you can use the eWeLink add-on for Home Assistant. If you use a Zigbee stick, such as the SONOFF ZBDongle-E, you can use it through the ZHA integration or through Zigbee2MQTT.
