MINIR4 Smart Switch - Wi-Fi and eWeLink-Remote

With the SONOFF MINIR4, you can make your existing switch smart. You can then control your light bulb, or any other device with a maximum current of 10 amperes and a maximum power of 2400 watts, from anywhere using your smartphone.

SONOFF MINI Extreme

The SONOFF MINIR4 comes from SONOFF's Extreme series of extremely small smart switches and is also known as the SONOFF MINI Extreme. Because this Wi-Fi switch is so small, it fits in any mounting box, so you can easily install it behind your existing switch. This can be a rocker switch, a pulse switch or a two-way switch. Also, the housing is flame-retardant and this built-in switch has a TÜV seal of approval, which means that this smart switch must meet high safety requirements. Besides the phase wire, you do need a neutral wire for this SONOFF switch, which is not always present behind existing switches. Also, you can not mount this Wi-Fi switch into a metal mounting box as it blocks the wireless Wi-Fi signal.

Wi-Fi switch

This smart switch uses Wi-Fi. You thus do not need a separate bridge for it and can connect it directly to your Wi-Fi network.

In addition, this smart switch supports eWeLink-Remote. This also allows you to pair it with eWeLink-Remote remotes like the SONOFF R5 and R5W wall panels to control it directly with these.

EWeLink

You can control this SONOFF switch remotely through the eWeLink app for Android and iOS. With eWeLink, you can also configure the smart switch however you want. For example, it is possible to configure smart scenes. This allows you, for example, to automatically switch on your lights at sunset. Or, for example, in combination with a SONOFF sensor, turn your light bulb on automatically when motion is detected. In addition, with the SONOFF MINIR4 it is possible to disconnect the relays from the connected light switch, so to speak. This makes it possible to use the connected light switch to control another SONOFF switch. It is also possible to configure what should happen when the power comes back on, e.g. whether it should always switch on then and whether it should only switch on after a few seconds so that not everything comes back on at the same time.

Compatibility

You can pair this smart switch with different services thanks to eWeLink. For example, you can pair the SONOFF MINIR4 with Google Home, Amazon Alexa or Samsung SmartThings. You can then also control your switch via voice assistants like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Samsung Bixby.

It is also possible to pair the SONOFF MINIR4 with Home Assistant through the eWeLink add-on for this.
